This week I sat down with leadership strategist and transformational coach Samantha Kris — and she said:

“I had to amputate my fear of success.”

Not failure — success.

It took me back to when I wasn’t afraid of failing.

I’d already done that.

I lost my leg.

Lost my military career.

Lost what I thought defined me.

What I feared was what would happen if I rose again.

Could I handle the pressure? The visibility? The responsibility?
